About the Challenge
We are looking forward to the first annual Local Food Challenge - 30 Days of Nebraska-raised. From September 1st - 30th we want to encourage people across Nebraska to enjoy, cook, purchase, and share more locally grown food.
During these 4 weeks we will fill an online calendar with events and activities that help people find local food, and support curiosity around why local food is important to us all. We hope to use this challenge to drive more people to events like farm tours, farmers' markets, local food festivals, harvest celebrations, etc. and to reach a wide audience - supporting people who are local-food curious but need some support and encouragement to buy local!
